This brighten up our cocker spaniels day as he is not usually allowed on the lawn as he produces patches of dead grass.
Mmmmm I like a man in make up with long hair mincing about the place (just don't let Pete know that). I am not very attracted to Johnny Depp but Jack Sparrow is gorgeous and in this film Orlando Bloom ends up in make up and a bandanna so double the totty for me!!! We went this morning to see the third film in the series and weren't disappointed despite the iffy reviews we had read. If you are a fan of the first 2 you will enjoy this film even though it could have been shorter. It's not giving anything away saying that at one point there were about 15 Jack Sparrows on the screen - I thought I had died and gone to heaven I didn't know which one to drool over first!! We have not done much else this weekend due to the poor weather and Pete wasn't well yesterday so he spent most of the day lying on the bed with stomach pains courtesy of Crones disease. It came on really quickly, lasted a few hours and then went away again. Got to go the batteries running low on the laptop.

This is the wall that Pete built! He got some free wood from work a couple of weeks ago and decided to screen the bamboo off with it. Last Saturday he built a brick wall at the bottom and this weekend he topped it off with a wooden screen. Now it's left up to me to paint it. Taking the t-shirt off wasn't a good idea as he got burnt!!

Matt decided he wasn't going to be out done by his Dad so started to build a bird table with the left over wood. Unfortunately starting is where he stopped too!! He managed to cut the wood and then, typical teenager, when we tried to tell him the holes he was drilling weren't big enough and the screws wouldn't go in he did the usual and ignored us. As soon as he couldn't screw the screw in because it was too tight he gave up rather than admit we were right and he was wrong but at least he tried!!

Ingredients:
I hope you have all had a good long weekend like we have. As you might have guessed we have been to see Spiderman 3 today which was not too bad for the third one. The story was a bit weak but the effects were good - the boys enjoyed it which is the main thing. We have done some more gardening and are now the proud growers of some rhubarb and 2 beautiful apple trees which were a birthday present from my Dad - thanks Dad! I also discovered a family of mice living in the compost heap when I churned it up. Pete decided to lay some traps with chocolate in them so we now have 2 dead mice in the bin. I did get a humane trap and a third mouse was released into the wild this morning this is now the only trap allowed in the garden.Pete can be forgiven for murdering the cute, furry mice though as he bought me a Sony MP3 player for my birthday with a digital radio on it for when I do my running each day. It's great and was the first surprise he has got me for years so he is in my good books at the moment it even makes the running a little more fun!
Just thought I would have a five minute break from stocking the new shop to blog. I have a feeling that it won't be fully stocked by tomorrow but never mind everything will get listed eventually and I have managed to put a lot in there already. I am looking at some new items to order for the new shop but if anyone has any ideas of things they would like to see in there then please feel free to let me know and I will see what I can do.
This is another card that I made for Jessica's birthday for her Grandma and Grandad to send to her. Her Grandad took the photograph, which probably explains the perplexed look on her face - he has that effect on most of us!!
