(H)AIRCUT

This was my eldest son last Thursday just after school

This was him an hour later after a visit to the barbers and a very drastic (H)aircut.

it was such a relief to see it get chopped off, I just have to hope that he decides to keep a decent style for a while.

The last couple of days I have been playing with my blog, not sure why as I am not very good at the actual blogging bit!  It's been time consuming but fun so not a waste of time.  Hopefully it may have given me the incentive to post a little more often.

H is For ....

"Hardening off" in this case some lettuce that is on my windowsill by night and outside by day.

While I was outside I spotted these "Hellebores" looking magnificent.

We are not doing much in the way of vegetables in our garden this year as most of the edible produce will be grown down at the allotment or lottery as Pete calls it.    We are doing early potatoes which are peeking out ready to be covered over again later today.

Finally the Elephant Garlic is starting to look garlicky, I can't wait for them to flower!

WOO HOO I MADE A CARD

I have no idea what possessed me to make a card this morning but I am glad I did.  I have no idea what I am going to do with it as I haven't made it for anything specific but it can go in my box of cards ready for when I can use it.
I sell cards for Phoenix and when I first started they sent me a whole load of sample cards which were completely unusable due to the big SAMPLE stamped inside the card.  Well not one for liking waste but loving recycling that's what I have set out to do.  I must have about 200 sample cards just waiting to be recycled.  This one came from a plain square card with bootie pictures on it.

HAPPY

Today's prompt over on "Our Space" on Facebook is happy and Kyle was definitely happy when I took this picture of him in Llandudno yesterday.

WHAT WOULD YOU BE?

I saw this here this morning as I was browsing around and thought it would be interesting to give it a go

If I were a month I’d May. If I were a day I’d be Sunday. If I were a time of day I’d be early evening. If I were a planet I’d be Jupiter. If I were a sea animal I’d be a flying fish. If I were a direction I’d be south. If I were a piece of furniture I’d be so comfortable. If I were a liquid I’d be fresh and pure. If I were a gem stone I’d be emerald. If I were a tree I’d have bird feeders hung all over me. If I were a tool I’d be a pair of pliers. If I were a flower I’d be in bud. If I were an element of weather I’d be a light mist. If I were a musical instrument I’d be in need of tuning. If I were a color I'd be lime green. If I were an emotion I’d be thoughtful. If I were a fruit I’d be a nearly ripe raspberry. If I were a sound I’d be loud.  If I were an element I'd be fire. If I were a car I’d be reliable. If I were a food I’d be warming. If I were a place I’d be full of life. If I were a material I'd be soft and warm. If I were a taste I’d be savory. If I were a scent I’d have citrusy undertones. If I were a body part I’d be eyes. If I were a facial expression I'd be a smile. If I were a song I’d be dance worthy. If I were a bird I'd fly really high. If I were a gift I'd be cherished. If I were a street I'd be a country lane.  If I were a city I'd be busy with many parks. If I were a door I'd always be open. If I were a pair of shoes I’d be green and flat.

And what would you be?
