At the grand old age of 37 I have finally learnt how to knit - well sort of. I am starting off easy with a Dr Who scarf for Matt in red and black. It was all going swimmingly last night until I had to change colours and cocked it all up. I tried to undo it but lost the stitches so I had a hissy fit and unravelled the lot. My next door neighbour started me off again but she knits really loosely so that got unravelled too. A quick search on Google and I found out how to start off and now I am about 20 rows up and have gone wrong again so Mum is on her way up soon to sort me out. I think, at this rate, I will be ready for Monkey making by early next week at the latest and by the following week I should have a whole jungle full each with their own scarf!! Or I could just be buying one off Monkee Maker .
Not only am I excited about learning to knit I am double excited about learning to digi scrap using Kirsty Wiseman's tutorials. I got the third one this morning and have worked my way through it and done this weeks challenge. Not really pleased with the outcome as I don't like the flower but the challenge stated to use everything in a free kit and use it I did. The kit is called Peace & Quiet and I got it from here.

cool - I tried to knit but failed miserably!!
Great takes on the word...... (I could knit when I was a little kid, but you're better in digiscrapping then I am)........
Oh you poor darling! Thank heavens for mums. Wish I was there to help. That is so exciting to learn a new craft. Happy knitting and hope mum sorts you out
Love Di
SHUT UP about that layout - its gorgous! You are doing so well.
Love your knitting worries and photo. My mum knits for my lil girl and makes really funky cardigans for her.
That knitting looks nice and even to my admittedly inexperienced eye, and I love the digiscrapping, even the flower.
The angles that you get on your photos make them really interesting, nice shot.
D'ya know I've got a yearning to get back into knitting at the moment....must dig out my needles.
Great shot for today's prompt hun.
digiscrapping is great! i used to be a digital kit designer (^_^) nice thing to get excited about
I love knitting. I abandoned it when I found scrapbooking but now I have rediscovered it. My current project is socks. Arrggghhh you think changing colour is hard LOL!!!
I love knitting too... only I don't do enough of it and since I've discovered digi everything else has taken a back seat lol
Fantabulous layout for class 3 challenge... wow you were quick!!
I used to knit as a child...my Mum taught me, and I can still do the basics...not so good at casting off etc.

No don't go and buy one you have to finish it, I learnt to knit 18 years ago when pregger with daughter my best friend showed me I knitted a a few bits. Every now and then i will knit a scraf or something but at least i can say i can knit even if it is only basic so I want to see a pic of it finished no a brought one. :~) xx
stick with the knitting, you'll soon get the hang of it and then there'll be no stopping you. I love knitting.
Great photo

I made a scarf once. I was maroon and about 14 feet wide, and 100 feet long. My family affectionately (least I think it was affectionately) called it a stair carpet. Oh and it had button holes.
Ok so they were dropped stitches but they could have been button holes...
Love your take on the word and wooo hooo looky at your digi! xx
fab shot! that's one of the things i need to learn aside from cross stitching and crocheting! coz i really really hate needles and threads :P
your layout is gorgeous! i haven't been scrapping for a while :/
miss you!
